What Guests Are Saying
Rock Creek Campground offers a beautiful, peaceful retreat with well-spaced sites, particularly along the creek, providing a serene atmosphere and excellent access to hiking trails and the river. Visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the secluded feel, with zero light pollution enhancing the outdoor experience. However, some noted a lack of onsite staff and occasional noise from ATV activity, and it's important to plan ahead for reservations due to ambiguous campsite maps and no cell service.

The campground was situated in a gem of a spot at the end of the Obed Wild and Scenic River. It was a small campground with easy access to the river and hiking trails. The amenities were minimum, but at $10 a night it was a great deal. Before I go back I am going to do some research into floating the river.

The Campground was well maintained and the area was beautiful! Lots to do if you love nature or swimming.
The only reason I did not rate the site 5 stars is that I could not a good night's sleep because of the Locals who live in the area riding their loud ATV's and Four Wheelers through the camping area, and on the nearby road at all hours of the night, blasting radios and loudspeakers.
If you are a sound sleeper and don't mind the after-hours noise and ruckus, I definitely recommend it. Otherwise, I would suggest finding somewhere else that is more managed and quiet hours can be observed.

The campground is a very quiet and quaint get away spot. It is perfectly located along the Emory River/ Obed River near the Nemo Bridge to enjoy fishing or hiking all day. It is a great place to get away from the city and disconnect. There are several miles of hiking trails directly from the campground area, and with only 11 primitive campsites it made for a very relaxing weekend cooking meals over the open fire with fellow neighboring campers and hikers. A note to Add: there is no cell service at the campground so plan accordingly.
I highly recommend this spot to all people who prefer primitive camping in a secluded area.

Pros: Beautiful and well maintained campground with excellent access to the river. Easy trail access leading into Catoosa Wildlife Management Area.
Cons: Close enough to the road that road noise from motorcycle traffic was an issue throughout the night.
