I love this campground! It’s relatively small and does not offer “day use” so it’s relatively quiet. We really enjoy paddle boarding here. The boat ramp isn’t horribly busy so it easy to launch from the ramp. Not all the sites are marked properly on the map. We had a big disappointment when we found out that the spot the map showed as #21 is definitely not in the same spot in the actual park. The “21” on the map shows a secluded, shady spot but you are actually really out in the open with NO shade, sucked because we were in a tent, in summer and were expecting shade. Large, clean bathrooms. Hosts seem pleasant.

We have camped at this park for years and love it! It’s quiet and peaceful and relaxing! They have a kids play area that kids enjoy. However, this year they had the swings wound up and locked and made unusable. That was very disappointing to our grandchildren as they live to swing. We look forward to coming back.

The most clean park in the area. Our number one place to go if we can get in. Beautiful trees and park host are very friendly.

From Interstate 35, take Farm-to-Market Road 2305 (West Adams Ave.) west. Drive for nine miles and turn left on Farm-to-Market Road 2271 (Morgan's Point Road). Go two miles to the park entrance. The campground is adjacent to the Belton Dam and spillway.
The campground is accessible via Interstate 35, with the nearest exit leading to Farm-to-Market Road 2305 (West Adams Ave.) and then Farm-to-Market Road 2271 (Morgan's Point Road).

- Gatehouse hours are Thursday-Saturday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, accepting credit card payments only.
- Contact the Belton Lake Office for more information; life jackets are required.

- Day use areas are not available at Live Oak Ridge.
Site capacity
- Camping is limited to 14 days within any 30-day period without special permission.
Vehicles & parking
- Each site allows a maximum of 2 vehicles, with overflow parking available for additional vehicles.
- Off-road vehicles require a permit and must be registered, insured, and highway legal.
Utilities
- Waste discharge is only allowed at designated dump stations; dumping grey water and trash is prohibited.
Local regulations
- Visitors must comply with Title 36 regulations enforced by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Amenities
- Inflatable structures require a lake activity permit; small swimming pools have specific size limits.
- The Activity Center is available for reservation on a first-come, first-served basis with a camping reservation; special permits are required for events with inflatables.
