Was in Big Bend for only three nights but managed two solid days of hiking. The trails were well marked and maintained. The views both during the day and of the night sky were spectacular. The park is vast.

We were booked for site 90 but were able to move to site 85. If you have an rv larger than a tear-drop camper, you will NOT be able to fit into site 90. No matter what Recreation.gov says or the pictures show, it is not doable. The camp ground was great though, lots of wild horses roaming through daily. Big Bend Park was awesome. Two must do's, Windows Trail and Santa Elena Canyon Trail down to the Rio Grande River. Night time star gazing is amazing as well.

The mesquite nettles in the grassed area made it difficult to pitch a tent. The loose livestock was kind of cute, but annoying as the horses grazed right next to our tents during the nights. The price of the campsite was especially good and even better with a Parks Pass.

The site was well maintained. I liked having the ranch animals walking through the campsite.

Terrific hosts! Kept areas clean and maintained communication with campers. The store staff could be a bit friendlier though.

I was there in late September early October. It was very hot during the day and late into the night. If you're in an RV I highly recommend you get an electric site. If you're in a tent i'm sorry. The store at the campground does have gas and laundry.
Horses and donkeys are frequently seen in the campground. The donkeys have bells on them. They can wake you up at night.
There's a trail that goes off the back of one of the campsites. It's a nice little hike.
Highly recommend doing it early in the morning.
Before it gets too hot.

It was very very good, you have bathroom clean and water to use and drink very close to the campground it was silent and you feel safe. Rangers were allways aware. Keep in mind that the only thing is that its too hot almost all of the year

We absolutely do not understand that in such a place there is no cold water shower - very tired and sweaty after the whole day, we arrived after 6 pm and there was no possibility to exchange dollars for small change
