We really enjoyed our 10 days here. Great place to walk and watch the deer. The bathrooms didn’t get the attention they needed by any means and not sure anyone cleaned them the entire stay. The volunteers (work campers) would let their dogs out to do their duty as they pleased which is very aggravating to us who follow the rules. We saw this on numerous occasions and from different volunteers. The park is beautiful but not as manicured as some of the other Corp parks we have stayed.

Stayed at site 4 loop 1. Site had slight slope - easy to level with blocks if you back all the way up. Good view of lake. No sewer hook-ups so we used shower house which was heated, clean and plenty of hot water. Weather was rainy the entire time we were there so didn't do much sight seeing.

Great campground with views of the lake and spacious sites. The only disappointment was that the day use area loop was not open.

It was a pleasant experience. There is plenty of places to walk and hike. There are a lot of places to visit nearby and plenty of stores and restaurants within a reasonable distance. The park hosts are friendly and helpful.

After staying at Potter's Creek for a couple nights, our expectations were high for this COE. It did not disappoint at all. My husband and I wished we could have planned to stay in the area longer. The park was nicely laid out with very spacious sites. We were in Site 6 in Loop 1. It was a last minute reservation since we were in the area, we ended up with the last spot in the park and it came with an additional driveway for our towed vehicle. The site was much longer than we needed for our 39 footer. Plenty of things to do in the area, unfortunately we did not have enough time to play as we were passing through to get home. We did head to New Braunfels for a short time. Jacob's Well is a must see. Typically, you are able to jump into the well, which is very narrow but very deep. When we visited, the well and creek were terribly dry so no jumpers were allowed, but we could still walk the trail and take in the wildlife and scenery. The history is interesting. Read about it before you go. We love this area and will be back.
