The park is excellent with large shady sites and views. This particular site, while level side to side, slopes back to front somewhat severely. Bring extra blocks for Jack and stabilizers.

Very nice campground, we had spot 27 and 10. We had to change sites due to reservations issue we caused. Both sites were great and level with lots of room, power was solid and good, 50 amps. Super clean place. An hour drive to The Alamo and downtown. We enjoyed our stay. Try for the inside spaces as some of the outer ring looked pretty unlevel if you are longer than 25’. Definitely will stay again.

Great park. Quiet park. Nice views of the lake. I would have rated “Excellent” if the tall grass in, and around, the sites would have been mowed.
We were there three days with excellent weather (with exception of one evening when it rained for two hours) to mow the entire area twice. No reason with all the “staff” we observed near the front gate it couldn’t have been done with the huge riding mower we saw. Interesting, the area around camp hosts RV sites were manicured nicely. Too bad they don’t take the same amount of pride in cutting the rest of the grass in the park.
And don’t give me the “the ground was too wet after the rains” excuse. My wife walked all around all 30 RV sites for 3 days and the ground was solid enough for the riding mower.

The park is always well maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The only observation is that the sites recently are not mowed regularly, and the grass is very long. We had to use a weed eater to get some of the long grass cut down. We like walking the trail with our dogs, but the grass there was also too long, so we were not able to use the trail this time.

Cranes park is clean, and have the anemities you need for a comfortable camping trip with your family and friends. Lot of sighting of deers and birds roaming the grounds during the day time, which was a refreshing experience.

We always have a great time when we are out at cranes mill. The sites are always clean. The only complaint we have about our last visit is the grass at site 13 was rather tall and needed to be mowed. Other than that we had a great time

We felt that the curfew on coming into the park interfered with us spending time in San Antonio. There were no laundry facilities in the park. Walking paths were non-existent. The stalls in the bathhouses could have been updated to provide total privacy. The sites were all easily accessible and having a cover over the picnic table provided some shade. The grass was 9-12”long and it would have been nice to have it shorter so my little dogs didn’t pick up so many burrs in their hair. It was quiet and boating facility close by. A Dairy Queen was about 4 miles down the road.
