Having the grass cut down for a walkway to the water would have been very nice. On the satellite map, there was supposed to be a walking path right by our camp, but it was overgrown. Walking to the water was a bit sketch being snake season. The bathrooms could be cleaned more frequently. On a holiday weekend they started to get pretty bad.

Very good staff, pretty area but not suitable for a hammock or rooftop tent.

I love the park. The sites are nice and the facilities are great. The only complaint or recommendation is that the boat ramp was closed. I know that may beyond the parks control if the lake levels are low but if it had been communicated when I was booking the site I would not have pulled a boat all the way up there and it would have simplified things greatly.

Our site 17 was on the water with a great view. we had good satellite reception and tmobile was good too. The location is handy to visit the many towns nearby. Gruene, Fredricksburg, Dripping Springs. The Starz Cafe and the Italian restaurant in Starzville are good places to have lunch. Auslander German restaurant in Fredricksburg is good as well as the WW II museum. Gruene is a good place for shopping and dining as well as going to Gruene Hall for live music. Lots to do and see in the area.

Nearly broke arm tripping on rocks and wife fell on one knee and scraped knee cap.. Neighbors looking for lost items in the rocks. Not a safe place to swim for kids or grown-ups. Where is all the lake water going?
