Camped at site #19. Our 2nd trip to Cranes Mill Park. Excellent get away from hectic, high demanding job. Greatly enjoyed our get away to calm days and peaceful nights. We will be back.

This is a great campground. Fairly remote, The sites are well spaced out. Bathrooms could use some updating, but were clean. the lake level was down when we were there, but when the lake is full i can imagine it is fun for water sports. Staff was super freindly & helpful.

We love this park, it’s not huge however the sites have some distance between them.
Most sites are not level or they slope up then level off which if you have a Class A coach the level portion is not long enough without you have the front of the coach extremely high off of the ground.

October was a quiet month to go. The boat ramp was closed due to low water in the reservoir. The gnats were visitors, small enough to slip through the screens. While I like the windows open at night, I didn't want to deal with that many visitors. The day I arrived, they instituted a new rule: that you can't enter until 3pm. This was not conveyed up until you got to the entrance station, and you had to enter to turn around, and there was minimal places to park ahead of the entrance. I arrived at 2:30. With the boat ramp closed, there wasn't even the trailer parking there to hang out until the appropriate time. As a full-time RVer, traveling for 6 years, I have never run into this. For whatever reason this rule was implemented, communication and a plan would have been helpful.

This park was very nice. The staff was so friendly and informative. The park is well cared for and each site is nice and paved. I will definitely stay here again when in Texas.

Clean restrooms and camping area. Staff is very friendly. Good cellular service (T-mobile). Unfortunately, due to drought water level was low and a lot of bugs and mosquitos. Still had a wonderful time with the family!

Good facilities for the campground. Loop closed to traffic for day use made a great walking path around the peninsula.
