Loved it here. Quiet. Clean. The only tiniest of complaint is there were no maps of the lake itself to hand out.

What a beautiful campsite! We stayed at 14 and it was the perfect spot for us. It was close to the water for beautiful sunrise and sunsets, has a large tree to hang a hammock on, and it is walking distance to the fishing dock and restrooms. The bathrooms were clean and always stocked. I highly recommend and we will be back.

Check in was quick and friendly.
Campsites were spacious but lacking in shade due to COEs practice of cutting down most trees. The lake was very low and not accessible due to a 10-12 ft border of dried dead water weeds and another 10ft of weed in the water. On the first night of our stay there were swarms of tiny mosquitoes that coated the outdoor camper lights black. Fewer on subsequent nights. The bathrooms are only cleaned 1-2x per week and bathroom counters were littered with dead bugs for our entire 3 night stay. Otherwise the 2 toilet stalls and the 2 showers were adequate. The camp host was friendly but mostly inaccessible as his campsite was in a distant part of the campground that was blocked off to car traffic. Not sure what his job is as he apparently is not responsible for cleaning the bathrooms. There are no trails or any pretty parts in this campground. Very square foot of area surrounding the lake outside of the campgrounds is taken up by residential developments. New Braunfels and Gruene are a 25 mile drive in one direction, Guadeloupe state park 25 miles in another. Natural Bridges Cavern and a wildlife ranch are nearby.

Nice quiet park on the lake. Spots are very spacious, 50 amp plus water hookups. Dump station nearby. We were in spot 27 closer to the lake but there are no bad spots. Gate closes and locks at 9pm so be back before or you will have to park outside and walk in lol!

Really nice RV sites on a lake. The sites were of usual (very good) COE quality. Electric and water services were easy to connect to. The other loop (day use or tents, wasn’t clear) and unkempt, which was in contrast to good maintenance on the RV loop.

Very nice, new camp sites. Covered picnic tables were almost new. Great place to stay as a base camp for other activities. Unfortunately, not much to do at the campground since the boat ramp is closed.

Very nice park but hard to get in on weekends. Hopefully they will just let RV’s in the RV spots & not tents! The tents take away from the RV spots!!! They have closed the tent section because they said it gets too cold!! We are in South Texas it doesn’t get cold!!!

Grass was too tall. Dump station needs to be modified by lowering the drain so you don't have to pick up the hoses to dump.

The grass needed cutting!! I think the Rv sites should be for rv’s only not tent sites!! We try to make a reservation & can’t get in because people took up the RV sites with tents. It’s a great park when ever we can get in!!!

A very beautiful place with the best sunsets, sunrises, and star filled skies! The area is well maintained, clean, and sites are large. The staff is really great! They helped us work through a tow vehicle breakdown issue that reduced our stress tremendously.
