Great place to take a camper for the very first time. Friendly park hosts. Seemed to have beautiful views from every site. I would give it 5 stars, but the bathroom was not well lit.

We camped for 3 days at Cranes Mill and found the area clean and quiet. We arrived on a Tuesday and were surprised to find that the park was almost full with other RV's. The RV campground is about a quarter-mile from the check-in building on the left. Further in is a tent area but it looked like some RV's are allowed there. Our site was asphalt and fairly level with a nice view of the lake plus it had an extra spot to park a vehicle. It's water and electric (50 and 30 amp) only but there's an easy-to-access dump site close to the check-in building. We saw Deer romping around in the mornings which was fun to watch. The asphalt pad connects to a chipped rock area that has a nice covered patio with a metal picnic table but weeds, some with stickers have been allowed to invade it. (Beware if you have dogs) A fire pit and grill are just a few feet away from it but again weeds with stickers are present. The entire park needs better grass and weed control. Big trees are at some sites but ours didn't have any. All sites are back in but there's plenty of room to do that safely. The sites are nicely spaced so that your neighbor isn't right next to you. The people who operate the gate are very sensitive about the arrival time. They don't allow early arrivals period. It's best to stop in one of the small towns on the way in and wait If you get there early but there are a couple of dirt pull off's outside the gate. Check-in is at 3 pm and check-out is 1 pm. The strict policy is a bit silly as we didn't see anything done at a site after someone left and another arrived but that's the way it is. We couldn't get any OTA TV and the AT&T signal was about three bars most of the time. Thankfully our cell booster helped to be able to stream a few shows in the evenings. Overall, we'd probably stay there again when in the area. We camped at Cranes Mill Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice site, beautiful sunset. It would be nice if there was a sign by the Marina because GPS said we had arrived when we were at the Marina driveway. That was not a good experience trying to turn around in that parking lot with a Class A 45’ plus a tow vehicle.
A simple sign saying Crane’s Mill Camping straight ahead, would have helped.
