What Guests Are Saying

North Park is a beautiful and clean campground with helpful staff and great facilities, making it ideal for family trips and scuba diving. However, concerns have been raised about the park's transition to a Day Use Park, leading to safety issues due to lack of gate attendants and increased day-use traffic. Overall, while the location offers many positives, the management changes have diminished the camping experience.

I hear that this campground is changing to a Day Use Park. The public is loosing one of the last primitive camp sites on Canyon Lake. It’s a shame that the Corps management is doing this.

Campground has no hosts and gates are wide open 24 hours. Many people just taking advantage and using the park as a day use park. No reason to pay, no rangers patrolling on the weekends. It's a free for all and not safe as it once was.

Paid quite a bit of money to stay here for just one night and there was no gate attendant, they left the gate open overnight so anybody could just come into the park it was kind of scary so we ended up leaving around midnight when we realized cars were coming and going at weird hours. North Park has gone downhill significantly since our stay a couple years ago and over the last couple years we've noticed a big difference.
