What Guests Are Saying
Potters Creek Park is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with large, spacious sites and clean facilities, including highly praised bathrooms and showers. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the park's scenic views, making it a great spot for camping and exploring the Hill Country. While some areas of the park lack shade and the lake levels are low, overall experiences have been positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Sites are spacious (space for vehicle in addition to RV, space for lawn-chair / table setup). There is also plenty of room between each site. Views of the lake from our site were good. Potter's Creek has two main circles that constitute the available RV sites and many have great views of Canyon lake. Bathrooms are clean and generally, the grass remains trimmed. Most sites have BBQ pits (and each site we looked at had an open pit). 30AMP and 50AMP power available. No issues. Water pressure was good for our RV. Most sites I observed were level. I appreciate that the middle of the circle was nicely trimmed and allowed my grandson to run and fly his kite. Overall, a good value.

All the RV sites are level and the grass is cut. The men’s restroom needed cleaning. It wasn’t filthy or smelly but the dead bugs and scorpions needed swept out.
Biggest issue is common to COE parks in this District- the 3:00 pm check-in. Check-in should be more like 1:00 on and if the site is open, then any time should be OK. Its not like a pit crew runs around and cleans every site between 2:00 and 3:00. The poor gate attendants are even required to have RVs stacked up on the entry road until the magic and arbitrary 3:00 pm gong goes off. Ridiculous!

The lake was way down, but not non-existent. Sites are very spacious. Location is great.

Bathrooms were infested by scorpions and huge spiders, plus floor littered with dead bugs. These really needed to be cleaned better and possibly sprayed with insecticide

We did notice brown recluse spiders in the bathrooms so that does need attention. When we checked out the gates were down but nobody was in the gatehouse so no one could get in or out for 5-10 minutes.

The only reason for 4 stars is the level of the lake was super low. Otherwise the site was great. Attendant was very nice.

Potters Creek was very nice. Sites were far apart, it was very quiet and all the sites were wide, long and had pad next to RV for vehicle all paved. Lake was extremely low, did not notice any boats.

The site was well maintained and made it easy to hook up electrical and water. Checkin when smoothly
