What Guests Are Saying
Potters Creek Park is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with large, spacious sites and clean facilities, including highly praised bathrooms and showers. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the park's scenic views, making it a great spot for camping and exploring the Hill Country. While some areas of the park lack shade and the lake levels are low, overall experiences have been positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Had fun at Potters Creek. We went on the 3 hour Gorge tour and it was amazing to see the gorge that was created the one time Canyon Lake overflowed.

This was a lovely park. Beautiful sites and maybe the best bathrooms of my camping life. Conveniently located to town.

Bathroom cleaning poor. Not often enough the only handicapped stall unusable for four days. Bathroom lighting extremely poor. Although there are lights they are so dim and dirty you need a flashlight

Fire pits were full of trash and paper plates. They have strict rules of not letting anyone in till 3 pm when park is empty. Host or rangers don’t see that sites are clean. Lady at gate was friendly.

Camp hosts very helpful. Facilities clean. Everything was great, except for the online reservation system. I and some other guests had to move more than once during our stay because there isn’t a way to transfer reservations once made. Example: I wanted to stay for 7 days. Had never been here before so was unfamiliar with sites. I originally reserved only one night because nothing showed available. After frequently checking app, a few spots showed available. Not sites I really wanted. But reserved one for the week to guarantee I had a place. Within a couple of hours my desired spot became available, but would have cost too much money to cancel my reservation to reserve the better spot. So I stayed, but sooo frustrating to see my desired spot stay empty. Would be great if there was a way to transfer reservations within a park without financial consequences if needed.

No feeding the wildlife in the park. Do NOT attempt to interact with the wild life. Some are protective of their territory, homes, dens, food and young. If you encroach on their space, they may become aggressive.
