What Guests Are Saying
Potters Creek Park is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with large, spacious sites and clean facilities, including highly praised bathrooms and showers. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the park's scenic views, making it a great spot for camping and exploring the Hill Country. While some areas of the park lack shade and the lake levels are low, overall experiences have been positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The park was great! Attempted to switch to a vacant site that was available (without reservations) , but was unsuccessful. Found out that once our reservation date has arrived, we cannot change sites. I believe this needs to be reviewed and modified to accommodate reasonable changes for campers if it is possible. Thank you for your consideration on this matter.

Stayed here many times. Disappointed over the many cigarette butts all over the ground

It was sad to see park rules not being enforced.

We always rent multiple campsites, plus the pavilion each July, for our annual family camping trip. This year, one of our family members made a special trip to the park to check out the boat ramp to see whether we’d be able to launch our pontoon boat and was told “no”. Wow! All he wanted/needed to do was check the levels. I’m sure the gate employees could have checked the dates we were coming to confirm paid admittance and let him in. We understand the need for security but if staff were that concerned, I’m sure he’d have been willing to ride with a staff member, check the water levels and go about his merry way.

Very clean and quiet campground. The view of the lake from our site was great and we also had good shade! Unfortunately the lake level was low and so the swimming area was not useable.

Very nice camp spot. Close to water, was very refreshing to float in lake. Kids had fun too!!

Park was well cared for and although very hot that week we were able to launch our boat and the lake was very enjoyable. We will return as the boat launch experience was very good

Sites were nice with large pads big enough for a spare car or a boat but there’s a few issues. The beach area looks like it hasn’t been used in 20 years. They also need a keypad/code for the front gate. We were rushing to get back from dinner by 9pm as to not be locked out and have to walk all the way to our camper for the night.
The water was very low on the lake, so check that before coming if it’s important.
We arrived at 2:15 for what is supposed to be a 3:00 check-in. The gate agent gave a lot of grief…saying “I should make you wait outside the gate.” I would completely understand if someone was still in the site or they were cleaning sites. But pretty much every other campground let’s you in if the site is open.
