What Guests Are Saying
Potters Creek Park is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with large, spacious sites and clean facilities, including highly praised bathrooms and showers. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the park's scenic views, making it a great spot for camping and exploring the Hill Country. While some areas of the park lack shade and the lake levels are low, overall experiences have been positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

It was peaceful and quiet. The only thing that would make it better would be to have sewerage connections at the sites.

This is a nice park and most of the facilities were in nice shape. Apparently their used to be shade canopies over the picnic tables at the beach area but they aren't there now. The water level was so low that most of the swimming area was dry land, not the park's fault of course.
The most annoying thing was that you had to drive back into the park by 9pm each night. We stayed here during a family reunion and would have liked to visit with family longer in the evening. We went to Sea World in San Antonio one day and had to make sure to leave to get back to the campground before 9pm. This meant we couldn't stay for the big water ski show at the end.

We statyed in Loop 1, Spot 3. This was a partially shaded spot, off the lake with a direct view of the lake. Backed in and got to see the lake unobstructed from our front window. This spot is close to the dump site so you can see it but not smell it. Also the bathroom/showers in this area appear to have been recently renovated and clean. The sites right up on the lake have no shade which is why we opted for this site. We did not show up until after 3pm so we had no problems checking in. The park gatekeepers were very nice and courteous! We never found "beach access" from this loop but did find "beach access" several loops away. Water was cool, refreshing and clean. We stayed in a 33 ft motorhome and will definitely be back!

The park is very nice but obviously has management issues that I’m sure COE will address in the future. Would stay here again if in the area.

We absolutely loved this park! I felt lucky when we were able to book a spot from July 5 to July 9.
Our site had lots of space and the views of canyon lake where beautiful. We did not have a site on the water but we had our bikes with us so we’re able to ride them to the beach and around the park.
We hope to come back someday as this was a true gem. We are considered a big rig so having space means a lot to us.
