The problem has been the same each ti e we have camped here. The electric service does not carry a full 30 amp load and the 110v gcfi is tied into the 30 amp camper service so anytime you use a hot plate and the ac they both overload the rv panel. This is a great place if the corp cared enough to make the campsite as advertised.

The lake was beautiful and we had one of the best camp sites. April weather was perfect, warm in the afternoon and cool at night, and for a few days we were almost alone at this location.

However, when we left the site in our RV for an hour, we returned to a fire smoldering in the brush between our site and the lake. Apparently, the on-site employee had gone to each site to dump the ashes from the fire pits, but ours had the previous night's coals in it and it started a fire.

We returned, saw it, and immediately turned the hose on it, but the water barely reached the edge of the fire. Fortunately, the employee saw what was happening from a few sites away and came running down to attach her hose to ours and we put it out. She apologized, said she'd thought we were gone for good, didn't check the temperature of the coals, and threw them into the brush. It was then that she realized they were still warm, but she still left the site and didn't think to see if anything was burning. She should be better trained, we believe.

It's a good thing we came back when we did, To burn the brush between the lake and the sites would have changed the beauty of the area.

Spots right on Lake Texoma with plenty of space between each campsite. Dump station is out of the way, but otherwise a great place to stay.
