What Guests Are Saying
Platter Flats is praised for its cleanliness, convenient bathroom facilities, and beautiful views, particularly from the B loop overlooking Lake Texoma. Guests appreciate the quiet atmosphere, helpful staff, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite camping destination. Some minor issues include noise from other campers and the need for maintenance on picnic tables and ant control, but overall, visitors express a desire to return.

The campsite was clean and very shaded. The bathrooms were always clean when we took showers, and the campsite was very quite at night. My family had one of the best trips this summer at Platter.

We noticed the water was not on and did not see it would not be turned on until April 1. When my husband went to ask, the guy there was rude. Then he saw us move our trailer the next morning to fill up with fresh water, the next hour he came around and turned it on early. After we went to the trouble to unhook and hook back up.
The place also needed to be mowed and I am pretty sure a drug deal went on that Sunday evening two sites down. We normally have good experiences at the campsites we visit but we probably will not return to this one for a while.

Nice park but with the gate not shut at night and recent reports of theft slept uneasy. When they say water is turned off at campsite it also means showers are turned off.

Platter Flats is generally a quiet campground with a large equestrian area that several large concrete 50 amp sites. It is our favorite place to camp on Texoma lake.
