What Guests Are Saying
Platter Flats is praised for its cleanliness, convenient bathroom facilities, and beautiful views, particularly from the B loop overlooking Lake Texoma. Guests appreciate the quiet atmosphere, helpful staff, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite camping destination. Some minor issues include noise from other campers and the need for maintenance on picnic tables and ant control, but overall, visitors express a desire to return.

Platter Flats is an awesome site for equestrian camping and riding. I experienced an issue where another camper who knows the campsites very well as she explained and she helped build several horse pens. She was camping in my prepaid site. I could not park in my reserved site until the next day and had to make other arrangements for stalling my horses in a more distant set of pens. It was very disappointing to drive for 3 hours and experience her lack of respect for parking in someone else's reserved site.

This park is several miles off the beaten path along fairly narrow roads. We stayed in the non-equestrian part of the park. The RV sites had level concrete pads with lake views and we were able to leave our 5th wheel hooked up to the truck for our overnight stay. We stayed in site B-12 which had tree coverage but we were still able to get satellite TV reception too. The park was quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed in the Equestrian side of the park which was very quiet during the week. Stayed in site A21 which is an end of the row spot but there is plenty of space behind that you don’t feel like cars are circling close behind you. The only possible down side of this spot is the manure dump is about 80’ away. Only when the wings blew from a certain direction did we smell it but again, it was not busy during the week.
Walked the dogs through the park several times and really enjoyed how things were spaced out plus all the trees.

We had a campsite on the B side of the campground with beautiful views of the lake. The site was large and easily accessed.
