Our visit to Lofers Bend was a good one, the camp host were informative an concerned with us have a pleasant stay. The main boat ramp was closed, so it was necessary to exit the park or use the real shallow ramp in the park. The two restrooms were closed for some reason, we stayed in a travel trailer so it wasn't too inconvenient.

The people were real friendly and nice to work with, it would be nice if there was more parking inside the park

This is not our first visit here. We always like the folks that man the entrance office. We know after coming here for a few years the spots we like to be in but we found out early on you better get your reservations early.

Enjoyed a quiet one-night stay at L.B. East. Greeters at the office were friendly and inviting. Electricity boxes and water faucets are all new. Most spots have fairly level parking. Check a satellite view of park to find the spots with the most shade from trees. Bluebonnets were blooming in mid-April. Saw some deer on walk around to nearby Marina pub, check their hours. Sunset was glorious. Our nearby restroom was open and clean with a shower but no Hot water. Most of all, it was quiet - really really quiet on a Wednesday night with only 5 campers in the whole park. No loud boats, planes, or traffic. Will go back and check out L.B. West, too. TJL in Flower Mound, Tx

Great hosts at the gate greeted us. The recreation.gov website must have gotten messed up when I made my reservation because it showed most sites were full and our reserved site was the only one left. When we got to the campgrounds, the sites that we thought were reserved were actually empty.
