My family & I have been camping at Bardwell for over 30 years. The current female gate attendant is the most kind hearted and sweetest lady we have encountered. You can tell by her actions that she truly enjoys her job and she was a pleasure to do business with. The park and campsites were clean and functional. The grass is a little tall in some places which in return is holding water and making the bugs worse, but nothing you dont expect when camping. Thank you for a great stay!

Fishing was excellent. Campsite was kind of run down. Concrete table was broken. Grill was burned through. No electricity for the whole loop. Luckily had brought a generator just in case . Sounded like it just had gone out for some reason not a regular thing. Great view of the lake and your right there on the water. Sand bass were schooling and catfish were biting. We had a great time. Will definitely be going back probably to another site # though.

The facilities were clean and well maintained. I would like to see sewer hook ups for the sites.

Just purchased a new travel trailer in the area and needed a place to perform "RV Trials". High View as close by and was just what we were looking for.
The lots were very nice and since we were backed up against the water, it was a very idyllic setting. The staff at the gate were extremely helpful. Peaceful Park with nice views. The facilities could use some updates. They were clean but well used and in need of some modernization.
Overall, great park to spend time enjoying the outdoors and getting away for it all. 4.5 stars to High View.

Very nice hosts, they took care of us, because it was our first night at a camping ground. Thank you so much !

Site # 25 was a clean, view great, water and electricty hookup...all great! The only , ONLY...issue was signage of sights. Sights are marked on the road, but need some posts with sight #'s on it. Clean, beautiful lake, the Blue Bonnets are blooming in the Hill Country! The rains make the whole area beautiful!
