San Marcos River Resort

Wife and I stayed here for 6 months or so and it was a great place to call home for a while. The river access is beautiful, grounds/showers are kept up incredibly well. Friendly people run this place day to day! This place will always be a spot we will recommend. (Especially in the summer)

San Marcos River Resort is a pretty expansive park. Most sites are level concrete with a few sites that are level gravel. Easy access to the San Marcos river. The park is outside of any populated city, but is still within a convenient distance of a lot of things. The city of San Marcos is about 25 minutes away. You're about an hour away from San Antonio or Austin. And then there are tons of places to go in between all of that. The Hill Country is just beautiful. If you want to be out in the country, but still fairly close to activity then this is a good spot. We saw deer every day just wandering around in the fields. Peaceful and close to nature.

We stayed here for 2 months during the holiday season and we really enjoyed our stay here! Hot tubs great, pools huge, large dog park, love the old school play ground our spot was right on the river. Every single one of the staff members have been so nice and kind. We've become friends with a few and have to say we will miss this place when we hit the road again. (That's how u know its a good campsite haha) Even all the other kids at the campground were so kind and respectful, including my toddler and playing with them. They do quite a few activities at the club house to bring community together, would definitely recommend this lovely campground. Heb is less than 15 min away in luling.

We’ve been coming to San Marcos River Resort for years, and it truly feels like a home away from home. Every summer, my husband’s family gathers here for our reunion, and it never disappoints. The staff is always attentive and quick to help with any questions or concerns, making our stay stress-free and enjoyable. We’ve noticed the upgrades and love how the resort keeps improving while still keeping that welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere we cherish. We’ll definitely be returning soon—thank you for always making our family memories so special!

We took our RV & stayed in the river view deluxe spot for 5 nights. It was a great spot, a short walk down to the San Marcos River. Our site was cemented, which was even better. Loved that there was already a picnic table at our site. The pool was very nice, as well as the campground. It was kept up very nice. Also, I loved that you put your trash to the road & they picked it up.

The river was amazing also, we took our dog & she had a blast. The water was perfect & several different areas of depth too.
