Had to move several times in a 10 day timeframe, the space I moved from was never used. Park CONTINUES to have spaces that can not be used because of electrical issues. Last space had not water and that space has been that way for many years. An additional charge should be assessed if the spaces does not get used. Trying to cancel on this site is NOT user friendly. I have stayed at this park MANY MANY TIMES. Respectfully submitted Henry

Persons in charge were very helpful and knowledgeable. Camp Sites were very well maintained and with enough space between sites. Everything was orderly and the restrooms were the best we have experienced in government camp grounds; clean, warm, new, individual rooms for privacy. Would gladly recommend to others.

I truly enjoyed the personnel that made it easy for us to get around the campgrounds. They kept it safe and they did not have no attitude with all the questions we asked, either. The campground was exceptionally clean and the guests were helpful and assisted when needed. They even came over for karaoke.

I got a site that was long enough but couldn't get in it due to narrow road and ditches on both sides. That was site 23. To get into it you need a small rig. We have a 40 foot TT and so we stayed in site 21 and it was reserved for Sat. so we had to move on.

I am very disappointed to hear the Corp of Engineers is planning to close off the park road between North and South Holiday Park to runners, walkers and cyclist. This road allows safe passage from the campground all the way to the Trinity Trail network in Fort Worth and will be sorely missed by thousands of users.
I was unable to pay for an extended stay at 7:35 PM on 11/11/23. I was told by the gate attendant that my payment would not be accepted because the gate house closes at 8PM. I had to leave without securing my campsite for the next night. After some delay the morning of the 12th because the attendant was having trouble logging on to the reservation system, I finally paid and secured my site for that evening.
On the afternoon of 11/12, this same gate attendant rolled up on me while I was trying to relax seated in my pickup truck in a parking area near the campground. She told me to return to my campsite. I was not told why I had to leave the area, the woman just backed up and drove away with no explanation. I returned to my campsite as instructed.
I found the senior park ranger very helpful and courteous Friday afternoon the 10th when I went to the Corp office to obtain permission to stay in the park two days beyond the 14 day limit.
I did not find the woman gate attendant helpful or courteous on Saturday the 11th and I feel she overstepped her authority by telling me to return to my campsite on Sunday the 12th.
