Very clean and well maintained park. Trash bins very accessible and at a decent height for disposing of trash. The gated key code entrance provides additional protection and privacy.

Generally: Enjoyed our stay. Only saw one volunteer in 6 days. They were cordial and told us where to locate them if needed. Good part: The campground was spacious. Really enjoyed the table and cover. Plenty of shower and toilet locations. Toilet paper was in good supply. Plenty of garbage bins. Bad: The campground is old looking; repairs are not being made. The grill was totally unusable; rusty, ash filled, crooked. The occupancy per space was over what is usually allowed; multiple families in spaces with cars parked everywhere. The bath and toilet facility could have used a good pressure washing. Hot water was almost non-existent. We would stay again but only during the week when the crowds have gone.

Multiple stays at Jim Hogg Park. Water and electric utilities in good shape, sites could use some work. Bath houses functional but rustic. Very busy on weekends but quiet at night.

We had site 57 which was on a huge slope. Our stairs would not reach the ground. We added a step but it was so Rocky that it wasn’t level. I fell twice. At 76 years old that’s not good. The site itself was nice but that incline was not fun! Other than that and never booking that site again, we had a wonderful time as always !

Had to lift camper tongue really high. We wanted shade and were disappointed to find the large tree at front of spot was gone (cut down) so we had minimal shade. Good space between neighbors. Had quick access to water for fishing.

The facilities here are tired and need updating. This isn't a very attractive place to stay and is overused. Water levels at the lake are way down and there was a burn ban in effect as well.
