Great park; only issue is with water in the restroom.

The surroundings at the park are very beautiful. Wildlife was frequently seen and the view of the lake was in creatable. This park is a treasure in our own back yard.

Camp site 25 is fairly level left to right but slopes down hill front to back. That required the use of leveling blocks so the 5th wheel could be leveled. Fairly clean but small trash like bottle caps littered the area and cigarette butts. Would stay again. AT&T had spotty service of 1-3 bars.

I love that Jim Hogg is so close to Round Rock—it makes for an easy weekend getaway. My only complaint is the lighting. Either the light has been upgraded or a brighter bulb was installed since our last visit, but it was much brighter than we remembered and made it difficult to sleep.
We stayed in sites 48 and 49 last year and didn't have this issue. One of the reasons we go camping is to get away from city lights and enjoy the darker nighttime environment, so the brighter light at the campsite took away from that experience a bit. Other than that, it's a great campground and very convenient for a quick trip.

Stayed at 104 and had a very peaceful and relaxing time. Even enjoyed the thunder storm one night. There was only one group of campers that were out of line but they didn’t stay but one night.

We always enjoy staying at this park. Great location, sites mostly level. Good water and electric service. Highly recommend a stay, if you are in the area.
