We had a great time camping and fishing. I came out early to get gate code because I had a late ballgame. I was not told I needed a different code for actual park entrance. It took about 30 min to get in

Be careful following trails. Even though I came to a sign with an arrow pointing both left and right, the trail to the left just disappeared. I ended up coming into the back of a gated community and had it not been for an Amazon delivery driver, I would not have been able to get through the gate to the road.
My chosen site was very nice. Trees and good space between the campsites. Only other complaint is that bathrooms are far. Once I'm leveled in my Class B van, I have to walk or ride my bike to the restroom. Normally, I would not complain about this, but I had knee replacement surgery last summer and wanted to save my limited abilities for hiking on trails!

Wonderful park! Great views of Lake Georgetown. Park hosts were very nice & professional. Only issue I had was they ran out of park maps, & I couldn’t find the trail heads were you can walk around the lake. I would say there were not identified well or at all from the Jim Hogg park location.

Didn't do much. Rained the whole time. Not your fault!!

Encountered a hungry, persistent racoon after dark that boldly climbed up on the picnic table and helped himself to muffins-even opened the hard plastic container by himself! Had absolutely no fear of humans and kept coming back.
Since it turned out to be raining, the covered area was much appreciated.

Excellent camp ground, extremely clean, beautiful and space between camp spots is awesome. The staff is kind and helpful, we will definitely be back.

Decent park, like a lot of corps of engineers parks. Bathrooms very spartan, not especially well maintained. Lake is the main attraction, and park is easier to get a reservation at than state parks. Sites are reasonably sized.

Park was empty as far as I could see in either direction from my site. Occupied site Sunday thru Thursday. My stay was quiet and without any nuisance. Unusually exceptional.
