We love camping here!! Bathrooms are clean enough and just a short drive to the rock beach. We love campsite 21 if you have more than one family camping. Plenty of space for 2-3 tents. You really can't go wrong with any of the sites that have the lake view. Lots of birds, deer and we even saw a fox! I recommend camping Saturday into Sunday as it's much less busy than Friday into Saturday.

The rock-gravel-pebbly beach was such a pleasant surprise! It was so wonderful to sit by the water and enjoy the morning, without having to brush all the sand off and then find sand for weeks after in our car. From the low cost of camp site rental, to the availability three weeks out, everything about our camping experience was great. I was a 30 minute drive from our house, and I felt safe camping with my 5 y/o by myself. Everyone was kind and we can't wait to do it again!

We stayed as a backpacking overnight stop. The campsite was very clean and well kept. Lots of dumpsters available. Women's bathroom was disgusting with overflowing toilets and not toilet paper. Men's bathroom was fine.

The park is excellent - the camp sites are well spaced out and clean. The park has trails to hike, and is a short walk/drive to a swim-safe beach, and a boat ramp. The park is conveniently close to amenities like Randall's and HEB (within 10 minutes). 10/10, for sure!
