This is our first COE park. We were thrilled--they have set a high bar for other parks.
Campground was very easy to find using GPS—taking Hwy 95 to Rd 1331. The entrance to the park is a little hard to see. When you see the “Wilson H Fox” sign, be ready to turn. The staff in this campground were very helpful. The check in process was easy. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had never stayed at a park with a curfew. The gates close promptly at 10pm, which was surprising but worked out fine. Check in staff made sure we understood the consequence of coming in late (you will be locked out). There are trees in quite a few sites that would offer some shade. Campground easily handles big rigs. The roads are wide and easy to maneuver. Sites are very nice size. There was plenty of room in our site for the truck, 5th wheel and Jeep. Asphalt roads through the campground and in very good condition. Asphalt pad for RV, with a large grass area to relax outside. Sites are very level. Each site had a picnic table with a gazebo. 50 amps available and water, no sewer, but there is a dump station that is easily accessible. Our site had a nice lake view. It was a pretty view, but a cliff down to the lake. There is lake access, but not near us. Good Verizon coverage. It was very easy to get DirecTV satellite. This is a very nice campground and we look forward to returning.

Nice campground, not-so-great restrooms, which would benefit from a good cleaning on a regular basis. Also, even though we visited during cool weather (December), the doors to said restrooms were locked open.
Note that there are bunk beds in the screened shelters. Who uses those?
Beautiful place to kayak, though. And lots of deer.

Loved our campsite, lots of space between sites and an easy hike down to the lake. The fishing pier was nice, didn't catch anything though. The restrooms could have been lots cleaner and were in need of some maintenance. The showers were nice and water was warm. Would definitely go back. Easy drive to Taylor and Georgetown.

We were passing through on our way to Florida and arrived without a reservation (for one night). We got a really nice site and the gate attendant was exceptional! There was a shooting range nearby which totally freaked out our dog,. Other than that we had a very enjoyable stay and would visit again.

Nice, clean, small park with great play area for kids, lots of deer and nice people at the gate house. The only 2 negatives are no sewer at the sites and the gate closing at 10 pm. Our kids and grandkids live nearby so when we come, we come to see them. We hate having to leave the party to get back before 10. Sure would be nice if there was a gate code or something for after hours.

Love this small park. The only negatives are no sewer at sites and the gate lock at 10. Our children live nearby and when we come, we come to see them. Sometimes, 10 is a bit early for us to have to wrap up our evening to get back to the park.

Good place. One of those that contribute to the good reputation the Corps has. Large site with shelter and table, level pad.

We reserve 5-6 trailer spots with attached cabins every year for large family reunion. The ground as always clean. There is more than enough space for all of us. Each spot has a BBQ grill which is great for family reunion dinners ! Cabins have electricity and they are putting shutters to bring down in cold or hot weather - You will need to bring your own heater or portable ac if needed. The public bathrooms and showers and large and clean as well - See you again next year !!!
