Hickory Creek Park is my very favorite place to visit. The campsites are large and always clean and generally well maintained. We have never had a problem with the electric or water hookups.

There are lights at each campsite that are kept on all night; the lights draw in the insects and created a hoard of mosquitos around our camper. There were a lot of off leash dogs that would sometimes wander into our campsite. The grass was cut low and the campsites were clean. The bathrooms were not kept in good condition. The water was pleasant, but high in June. We did see a lot of healthy deer which was fun.

The campground is taken care of fairly well. There are lots of available spots. Be mindful of when you are checking out if you have a travel trailer. There is only a single dump station available in this park.

I camp Hickory Creek A LOT as it is so close to my house. This last time, I was in site 36 for the 1st time. I prefer to be on the water but there weren't any available at the time. Site 36 is just across the street from the water and offers great shade. I love the wildlife at Hickory Creek, I happened upon a fairly newborn fawn curled up in some tall grass and a momma hawk had a nest with 3 babies just above my campsite. Love Hickory Creek
