This is an awesome campground. It’s beautifully maintained. The shower/bathroom was clean. The park hosts were friendly and very helpful. The sites were clean. I loved it. Can’t wIt to come here again.

We stayed in site 81 at Hickory Creek for New Years Eve and it was a great experience. Fellow campers were awesome and the park itself was clean and well kept. Now for the bad… our fire ring was rusty and bent all up to the point I couldn’t use it. No I didn’t complain because we were only there for a couple of days but it was cleaned out and tidy and I would think the park staff that cleans it would take note and have it fixed. Looking forward to our next trip though. One of our favorites in the area!

This is a great campground if you can do without sewer hook ups for a few days.

We had a beautiful spot. It was just so very cold during our stay. We will come back. It's convenient to our kids and close to places to eat. We just seem to get TV on the antenna very well. It comes and goes.

Friendly staff and park hosts. Restrooms and showers are relatively clean. There is a walking trail where you can occasionally encounter deer and other wildlife.
Minutes from good restaurants, groceries, and other shops.

When traveling North on I-35E, take exit 458A toward Swisher Rd/FM-2181 onto S stemmons Fwy. Continue onto N Stemmons Fwy toward Hundley Dr/Turbeville Rd. Turn right on to N Lake Dallas Dr towards Hundley Dr/Turbeville Rd. Turn sharp right onto W Hundley Dr towards Hickory Creek. Continue on Turbeville Rd, and turn left onto Point Vista Rd. After 0.5 miles, Hickory Creek Campground will be on the right.
When traveling South on I-35E, take exit 457 toward Lake Dallas Dr onto Stemmons Fwy. Then, take ramp towards Turbeville Rd/Hundley Dr/Hickory Creek. Turn left onto Turbeville Rd towards Hickory Creek. Turn left onto Point Vista Rd. After 0.5 miles, Hickory Creek Campground will be on the right.

The park gate closes at 10pm and there is no entry/re-entry until 6am. Exit gate will open in case of emergency. There is NO code for the gate. Please plan accordingly. |
