My family and I visited this site to celebrate my daughters birthday. We stayed two nights in a tent and had an amazing time with a very large camp site and beautiful view. A little to “city” to get the peace and nature side of camping as you can still hear the highway and planes flying low to land in DFW but other than that it really was a beautiful camp ground. Bathrooms and showers within walking distance and so many deer were out it was amazing.

Beautiful camp - everything was well kept, plenty of space between campsites, and quick access to local restaurants/stores.

Reservations were easy to make online. Check-in was easy. Campsite was nice and clean as was the whole campground. Restrooms were clean and taken care of. Located near plenty of restaurants, shops, grocery stores, etc. Near the highway and easy to access. There are really nice sites that are pull through's and you can open your door to the lake for some really nice sunsets. Lots of sites are near the water, so good for fishing or swimming with the younger ones.

We are regular campers at Hickory Creek when we just want to get away for the weekend but don’t want to drive far.

This location offers easy access to many DFW suburbs, especially Frisco and Denton. Park is beautiful with gate access from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Location is near some good restaurants adjacent to an upscale community. RV Camping spots are perfect with electric, water, fire ring, picnic table and, sometimes lantern poles. Many have lakeside or lake view access. There are tons of deer, ducks and other birds. The sunrises and sunsets are nothing short of stunning. Campground staff are friendly and available. The only downside are the restroom and shower facilities. They are very outdated and in poor repair. I used them only as required, which fortunately, wasn't often. I stayed in the winter in my RV which was winterized so showing was a necessity. I have stayed several times while working in the area and would certainly return.

The campground itself was great! Well maintained, clean, and seemingly secluded. However, the portion of the campground along the Lake Lewisville shoreline was somewhat noisy 24/7 (highway traffic across the lake). Even so, I would certainly return to this site!

The urinal in mens restroom as well as two sinks did not work. The host said they have reported it for months and it never gets fixed.
