What Guests Are Saying
Hanks Creek campground is well-kept and offers a peaceful atmosphere, with clean sites and decent facilities, making it a great spot for relaxation and outdoor activities. Many campers enjoyed the beautiful views of the lake and appreciated the friendly park hosts. However, some areas are in need of maintenance and updates, particularly the boat ramps and restroom facilities, which have been affected by recent flooding and storms.

No service for miles for phones which may be ok if you know the area and don’t need gps or phone. If you like a thick forest then it may be for you

We paid for a space with 30 Amp power. The grid apparently did not support the volume of campers at the site as we were not able to use the AC in our RV. Even running just the fan with the only other appliance running was the refrigerater, the lights continuously flickered. This was the first time we have camped in this loop, space 39. We have never had this problem in the other loops of Hank Creek.
Are there plans to upgrade the power grid for this area?

Park Staff are great. They keep everything clean and picked up as if the park is their own back yard. We will be back again next year.

We stayed in site 14 which is on the opposite side of the road from the lake but has a spacious area to relax and a great view of the lake cove. The picnic table is covered and the fire pit/outdoor grill is taller which was nice on the cool evenings as it really heated up with the oak wood fire (BYOW). Fishing was good until the cold front slowed the bite. Also, there were several eagles and ospreys flying around daily for those who like that sort of stuff. Overall we had a great time!

Nice park. Sites were large. We stayed in #34. It was a pull through. When I first saw it ,didnt like it too much. But it wasn't bad. Had 2 bars on Verizon. Ate breakfast at Carlene's Place(Eagles Nest) in Zavalla. Overall enjoyed our 4 night stay...
