About Rayburn

Rayburn Park lies on the north shore of Sam Rayburn Reservoir, a popular family destination with boating and fishing and access to hunting less than a mile away. Sam Rayburn Reservoir and the surrounding Angelina National Forest provide a wintering habitat for the bald eagle. During the winter months, forest visitors may see the bald eagle soaring over the lake, perched on a flooded snag or in a tall pine along the shoreline.

This park is amazing in every way. Beautiful, waterfront views, campsites are like staying at a 5 star hotel. Super clean, concrete, even large pads, covered picnic table, fire/grilling ring, and even a cooking prep stand! Can't wait to go back.

This was our first time back to Rayburn Park in about 8 years. The improvements to the pads at the campsite were fantastic! The new concrete pads were level and included the upgraded picnic tables with 10x10 steel covers and the built-in fire pits. I wish all parks had these kinds of sites. The park host, Ray, was very friendly.

I enjoy everything about my stay at the park. I was not pleased that I wanted to stay one more night after I first put my order in and I had to pay the non discount price for the second night. If you would give me a free night because I did not get my discount , because I’m a American the Beautful member for the second night I stay there, I would be happy about everything.

We loved this park. Quiet even though it was 3/4 full. The sites are some of the best we have seen in COE parks. It is a drive from the main highway to the park entrance, but it is at the end of the peninsula. Every site is lake view and has a nice concrete pad and covered picnic table. We had a lake front site and some shade. Sunsets were beautiful. Restrooms were clean although we did not use them.

We LOVED our visit to Rayburn Park for the week of Thanksgiving! The RV sites (including the picnic area & around the fire pit) are paved with smooth concrete. We absolutely loved that feature. Our site was right on the water and our views were beautiful.
