What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Creek Park is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite among campers. Guests appreciate the spacious, level sites, helpful staff, and beautiful views of the lake. However, there are concerns about the outdated restrooms and difficulties with the dump station, which could use some improvement.

A quiet wide open campground. It was very windy off an on. The blue bonnets were starting to bloom.

Site 8 had a great view of the watercraft, so I got to see several barges both night and day. Right across from the restrooms, which was convenient.
I hiked the multiple trails when I arrived and had a quiet night.

The park attendant (Elvin) was very helpful. When I arrived, it was raining and he informed me the site I had reserved was closed. We met under the Pavillion and I was able to book another site. Had he not been there, I did not know what I would have done. Also, we had to leave a day early and Elvin gave us a refund.
We have camped at Sandy Creek many times and always have a great time
