What Guests Are Saying
Twin Dikes campground is generally well-maintained, clean, and offers a peaceful atmosphere with beautiful lake views and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the helpful camp hosts and the serene environment, which is great for birdwatching and family relaxation. Some concerns include the need for maintenance on older sites and occasional issues with neighboring campers, but overall, guests enjoy their experiences and plan to return.

We stayed at Twin Dikes in late January 2021 and had a very nice stay. Unexpectedly, there was a professional fishing tournament going on at the lake during a few days of our stay, and many of the competitors were camping at the Twin Dikes campground. We enjoyed visiting with a few of the professional anglers and learning how these competitions work. We found that to be very interesting. We stayed in a campsite A-04 with full hookups and found that the hookups all worked perfectly during our stay, but the asphalt pad was terribly un-level. In walking around the campground it looked like there was a pretty even mixture of level camping pads and un-level ones, so you are kind of rolling the dice. The campsites along the lake shore did seem in general to be more un-level than level. The 'A Loop' did have a dump station and a shower house with running water and flush toilets. The facilities appeared to be clean, well maintained and well stocked with supplies during our stay. Cell phone coverage was strong in the A-Loop with Verizon posting a 14.9 Mbps download on OOKLA SpeedTest and AT&T posted a 29.1 Mbps download speed. The biggest disappointment we had at Twin Dikes was the amount of litter along the shoreline and left behind by previous campers. Clearly the blame for this lies on those who failed to put their garbage in a proper collection container, but I am not sure if the responsibility for clean up would be on the US Army Corps of Engineers, or the on-site camp hosts ... probably a little of each. In one afternoon, we picked up a few garbage bags worth of trash, but that didn't even make a dent in the total amount of litter lying about.

Facilities were good. The only negative was that it was raining too much. You'll have to get that under control.

Nice park along the lake, RR's clean, sites on the water are exposed to wind, be prepared. Park hosts very nice and helpful. Drove a few minutes to hike Trails between the Lakes as there is really no hiking in the park. Beautiful sunset at the boat dock and saw the release of hundreds of Bass from the days competition on the lake, that was bonus.

Great site. We were there for a large fishing tournament and found this location to be perfect for all our needs. Very clean and well maintained and monitored. I appreciate the value of having gate personnel who monitor a park for items to maintain as well as to watch out for those camping. We have already booked future dates.

Hmmm, I don’t know if I want to give an accurate review as this is a jewel. Small park, lots of tent camping on one end and beautiful views from your RV site. You can even rent RV space with a shelter. (No pets in shelter though.)
