A bad storm came our first night and almost all campers sheltered in shower houses from midnight til 2 am due to heavy rain and winds up to 80 mph . Power was lost and not expected to be back on for a week or more so we had to leave. We had no generator with us.

The grounds are normally very well kept and campers are quiet and friendly. This trip both were not the case. Although there has been a lot of rain and mowing I’m sure is affected, the grass and weeds were overgrown and very unsightly. Had to request someone to mow at our site when we arrived. Additionally, the sites near us were filled with noisy patrons (loud music) well past quiet time. Boats and cars all over between our site and the next. Lots of boats and autos parked in areas they shouldn’t be around the park in ditches and side areas. Very disappointed this stay!!!!!

We loved this spot! We have two children and it wasn’t too far from the playground. Also had a nice grassy area next to our site to play. Great sunset view!

Men’s bathroom was out of order the whole time we were there (5 nights) in area E106.

This is a great campground. Very friendly, helpful camp hosts. Park is well kept and the amenities that we use were in good repair. As previously mentioned in an earlier review, there seems to be a couple of 'full time live in residents', They seem to be allowed a lot of 'junk' on their sites that degrade the appearance of the park. Probably nothing can be done with this situation, we have noticed it at many other campgrounds.

Great park and ultra friendly hosts. We have been here a number of times and visit a local town (Jefferson) all the time. The park is always neat and clean. The facilities we use are generally well maintained. The only complaint we have is that we have encountered what appears to be 'full timers' that are allowed to 'live' in the park and seem to have a lot of 'junk' there by degrading the atmosphere of the park. Don't really have any resolution for this problem as we have seen it in many versions at many parks. We will undoubtedly return as this is a nice respite along our travels. Unfortunately, I'm sure we'll continue to encounter this behavior also as I'm sure the rules are being followed, maybe just bent.
