We visit this park as much as possible. It is one of our favorite parks. It is worth the 3.5 hour drive.

It's a pretty camp ground. We were there the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Camp hosts and check in were great. Tent site was shaded with an ok view of the lake.
Sadly, the previous campers at our tent site had filled the fire pit with their beer cans and trash. There was trash all over the shore lines and cigarette buts everywhere in the camping area. Picnic table was covered in sticky marshmallows and there was poison ivy growing untamed under it. Dozens of dead gutted fish on the shore line as well. The trash and litter kind of ruined an otherwise beautiful park area.

Not far from Jefferson and Longview. Our site was close to the boat ramp which was convenient.
