Stayed in the primitive area. Loved the water front camp sites. Picnic tables had been vandalized and never fixed. They were probably very nice several years ago but need some attention, very little level ground left for setting up tents. Park was very nice and friendly people. Loved are visit. We will come back.

Nice RV park except for the bathroom facilities at the site we were at. They were in poor condition.

While most C.O.E. hosts are friendly, and many very helpful with camping experiences, the host on the phone here was NOT helpful. Our next coe stay (close by) doesn’t allow checkin until 6pm. I called the gate to inquire about any possibility of checking OUT here a bit later than 2pm. Rather than give me hope, or options for leaving at 2pm, all this lady could do was repeat their 2pm checkout. NOT helpful, NOT friendly, and I’m sure she would be the same way if I had some other issue in the campground.

Nice and quiet. Really what we look for in a site. Lake views very serene. Having 50A hookup is very nice even if the weather is a bit cool. We already have return reservations.

Brushy Creek is our favorite go-to camping spot. We camp in a 30 ft. fifth wheel and have camped in multiple sites throughout the park. There really isn't a bad site in this park.

We spent 3 nights at Brushy Creek for a long weekend get away. The attendants and everyone there were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. They were constantly coming through the camping areas sort of surveying things to make sure everything was going well. The campground itself was beautifully set in tall pine trees and with a lot of lake frontage. The spots were spaced well so it did not feel crowded even on the nights that were mostly full. The spots were also nice and level so set up was easy. We toured other camping choices around the lake and Brushy Creek in our opinion was by far the nicest one available. We will definitely go back in the future.
