Locals have overrun the park! There was some obvious locals on the FHU sites that were abusing the park. 2 campers on a site, 2 boats on a site, cars everywhere, cargo trailer, A frame tents, just stuff everywhere making it very hard to get through the park.
For a Corp park the site are close together which only compounds that problem. No Ranger presence.

Nice quiet area, great walking at the tent section (which was empty) including the gravel roads behind it in a lovely forested area. Few campers, shopping not too far and even some TV channels available.
There was a very festive Christmas light/decoration contest at another campground on the same lake (COE also)
That was very fun and spirited to the holiday!

Park was in fair condition, could use a little more upkeep, weeds growing up badly in places that used to be kept neatly trimmed, small amounts of trash scattered about the park, fire pits not cleaned.
For the most part it was a pleasant stay, but could have been better.

This is a gorgeous lake and a nice small campground. Our spot was perfect and overlooking the lake. Fall colors were all around and the quaint town of Jefferson and a drive through safari gave us plenty to do nearby. Would be 5 stars if full hookups.
