The park staff keeps the facilities nice and clean. This campground is so relaxing, and has beautiful views of the lake.

Was a great experience as always. The camp has installed sewer connections in some of the sites and we camped in one, made a much more pleasurable time.

We really enjoyed our stay at Buckhorn Creek. The guy who greeted us at the office upon arrival was so kind and helpful, the site was a great pull thru on the lake, and the trails were beautiful for biking. The area had the most beautiful landscaped areas and the dam was amazing to see. We did not use the showers.

The campground was very well maintained and clean. The sites where decent size and good locations with the water accessible. We camped March 25 2024 and stopped for a few more days ending our TX winter camping trip. It was really windy where we only took the Yaks out a few times. The fishing was good for my wife and I even caught 2 on our last day before we went home. Ha! The area was deep in the Texas Pines in the middle of nowhere. The locals where very nice and informative on fishing and the local area. We checked out the campgrounds on the lake and decided this campground was the best for camping with wanting to have the yaks within sight on the water. It seemed like a good lake to fish and explore in the Hobie. We will be back...

It is a very nice, clean, and quiet park. On the water and very family-oriented.

What a beautiful place. The view was very nice. Watching the sunset over the lake was gorgeous. Make sure you have a fishing pole. We will be back soon. Our dogs had a great time too.

OMG. This place is a hidden gem. I so with we had more time to spend here. The sites were adequately spaced and every location had a great view of the lake. If you have a boat or a kayak you will be in heaven. If you a birder, same. Also, we didn't need the showers but I noticed they had a nice supply of heat in there which would be nice for those who needed it. It's about nine miles to a big grocery but I saw a sign about a convenience store close. I hope to return to this campground!

Was closed booked a reservation got a confirmation and itβs closed into march 1. Very disappointed in the lack of communication leading up to the arrival. If it was closed then you should have not been able to reserve an area.
