Very nice park, the grass was cut and campsites and roads well maintained. We stayed in RV Area E1, site #130. It had a nice view of the lake and some shade. The bathrooms were old and need to be upgraded. Very dark inside and old stainless commodes. No soap dispensers or electric hand dryers.

Always enjoy coming out and camping at Buckhorn but the park is not kept up The grass was high and we had to mow some of the grass around our camper so we can sit outside and enjoy the campsite

Beautiful park. Restrooms are kept clean, though they are not in good repair. For example, the women’s restroom closest to our site had no working lights and the window was boarded up. We used the individual shower/restrooms and those showers do not allow for adjustment of water pressure or shower head position. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hopefully they will fix the rinse hose at the dump station.

Great camp ground with beautiful views. The landscape and grounds were well maintained. However, the bath houses need remodeling, / painting on the interior to give it a clean look.

We use to love going to Buckhorn Creek. The past few times we have gone the place does not seem to be kept up like before. The grass is very high all round the sites. Nothing is blown off and trash is left.

As usual my camping experience was excellent! The hosts are always friendly and helpful and the campground was so neat and clean! I love 5his place. It is my go-to getaway. Highly recommend!

From Jefferson, TX, travel 3.8 miles northwest on Highway 49. Turn left onto FM 729 and continue for 3.5 miles, then turn left again onto FM 726. Travel 2.5 miles. The park entrance is on the right.
