Buckhorn Creek

May want to take your weed eater. The park was not mowed. Also, take plenty of ant spray/powder. Bathrooms were kept cleaned but I didn’t use the showers. I was in site 116, it was fairly level. The afternoon sun was brutal but was manageable after I put up a canopy (shade tent) along with my awning.

The grass needed mowing desperately so apparently the groundskeeper isn’t doing their job.

Camp in Buckhorn a lot. This time the grass was in bad need of mowing. Even with all the rain there are days that mowing can happen at least around camp sites. Also some of the limbs in the half dead trees need trimming. I was afraid the limbs in 112 could come down in the occasional high winds. Had to move a fallen limb just to get my camper set up.

Campground needs updating. Feels shabby and neglected. Landscaping was poorly done. Grass was not cut in a timely manner and was done carelessly.

Picnic Tables were very, very dirty.
Grass was not mowed. About 18" high or higher. Couldn't hardly find my small dog
Restrooms had no lights in 3 rooms. Had push buttons missing off controls to flush in some restrooms
Trees are not being trim and libs growing to the ground, so you are not even able to mow
There was nobody in section 2 when we got there so that would have been the time to mow. Everyone was very unhappy about the park. I have been coming to these Parks for over 60 years and never seen it like this. Nobody cares anymore
What a shame

Love our stay at Buckhorn. Especially like the site. It has a wood deck at the base of our RV steps. WOW!!!

We have enjoyed our stay at Buckhorn Creek many times. We will continue to book here.
We are concerned about future stays, who will be caring for the facilities in the future, and if our Senior Pass will continue to be honored if/when state/county takes over these parks.
Please keep us informed. We are watching Georgia park changes.
Bathrooms need better and more frequent cleaning and especially updating and maintenance, one is very much old.

Buckhorn Creek is a very nice campground. We especially like the cement pad and walking out to our own private wood deck. E139 is a special site which I highly recommend. The grass was not mowed??? Toilet tissue was not always available in the bathroom???

The site had trash around it and it appeared that none of the campground had be mowed this year. We were there the middle of April. The campground has always been much better maintained. If this continues, we will have to find a different place in the future.

We've gone to buckhorn several times in the past, one underlying theme seems to be unkempness. They need to pay more attention to cleanliness mowing the grass, painting, bathroom walls. Just overall cleanliness.
