We had a great time at Lake O the Pines and at Buckhorn. Gate staff was friendly and fast, sites were clean, new full hookups were awesome! Grass needed mowing, but not a big deal. We selected one of our sites based on hookups and shade trees. Unfortunately, the 2 large oak trees at this site are dead or dying.

The campgrounds are very clean and easy to get around in. The boat ramp was easy to load and unload boats and had some great fishing while there. We appreciated the park ranger's occasional drive-thrus and felt safe and that our things were being looked after while we were away. Our only complaint was that the water was not working at the dump site. We were glad to see that a sewer lift station was being installed and some campers actually got to hook up while there. That would be a great incentive to camp here more often. We will be back!

Bathrooms badly needed attention as did the grounds. Otherwise our site was okay.

Great view, great hospitality from the person at the guard shack, and good neighbors!! Around the campsite was pretty grown up, grass needed cut and weed eating done. ants were everywhere!!! We were able to keep them at bay though.
Overall, good experience and we'll be back in the fall.
Thanks, Gregg

The staff were very helpful and friendly. There were a few problems with the water and electrical service at several sites. The interruption was due to upgrades being made to improve the park. The benefits of the upgrade will out weigh the inconvenience of the interruption.
Overall our visit to Buckhorn was very good and future visits will be even better.

Nice campground the weeds around the lake could be cut to make it look better and less snakey around the campsites
