It is a relatively quiet area with a very nice view of the lake. Sites are clean and well kept.

we love to camp at Johnson Creek, have a friend & sister that camp here also , so we usually meet at Johnson creek to do our camping. Great place to camp & meet new people, campers are usually very friendly. love lake-o- pines, watched it get built as a child.

Sites are very close. My dog barked twice and we got a warning. You can touch the camper next to you.

Beautiful, clean, quiet. We wanted to hike the trail but it was under construction. If there were hiking trails, we’d never leave!

The lake front sites are spectacular! 5 stars all day long! Nearby historic Jefferson, TX is worth the visit. Our favorite was hand dipped ice-cream and other treats at the Jefferson General Store.

Places for tents need cuts in wood frame to allow water to exit in rain. Tent was swimming in a lake after overnight rain on 3-21. Spent day at laundromat and drying out everything in tent. The restroom in area could use some maintenance. Toilet paper availability was an issue also.
