We love Johnson Creek. Unfortunately for us we had one of the least desirable sites due to so many campers. Site 401 not our favorite but we like the Johnson Creek so much, we sacrificed to have some time away. It’s not far from Jefferson Texas which is a great small town with great restaurants and antiques. There is also a Dollar General right outside the campground in case you left something behind. Everyone is nice and we will definitely be back, hopefully in the 2 or 3 area. Boat ramps and lots of fisherman, it’s always a great place to stay. 4 stars only because of site and fire pit down the hill. Otherwise clean, well maintained and very nice staff at gate.
