My family loves coming here. The camping areas are spacious and well taken care of. We do wish that the playground had more activities for the littles. The lake is easily accessible. There is plenty of hiking trails and shade galore.

Very spacious campsites. We were at a site with water and electricity for our trailer. We use Starlink and were able to find a break in the trees to connect easily to internet. The bathrooms were clean. Lots of walking trails to walk the dogs. Would love to come back for a longer stay in the FALL. The weather was perfect. Warmish during the day and cool at night, but not so cold you couldn't sit out by a campfire. Staff was friendly.

Patrick and Tuck, the park hosts, were very nice and helpful. The park was very nice and the bath house was always clean. I really enjoyed it here. I especially enjoyed the wildlife, I saw a nanny deer and her baby fawn was nursing. I was able to get a picture of the 8 point buck. I would recommend this park. I stay here every year around deer hunting season .

Honestly, I was here a few years ago and the park host was downright rude. My last visit and I met two different host, and they were absolutely awesome. There was a storm overnight and they came around checking on the guest the next morning to make sure everything was ok. The campground and bathroom facilities were clean. Only downside is the fire ants. Them little stinging rascals are out of control! Welcome to East Texas.

Visited end of October. Beautiful park, lake and campground. Bike around with my kids and it was just so calm and relaxing. The forest is just so beautiful and quiet. Highly recommended. Definitely a revisit for me.
The restrooms here are SUPERB! nice, big, and clean. Individual stalls with shower in each stall... how great is that?
NOT a complaint, but the campground spots are a little close to each other with clean line of site, but people are very quiet and respecting so big deal. Still coming back.

Did not know that there was a burn ban and that we were not allowed to have a campfire.
