What Guests Are Saying
The Lavonia campground offers beautiful lake views and a generally clean environment, with some guests appreciating the spacious sites and friendly park hosts. Lavonia is VERY close to home for us, but still gives us the experience of camping and being away from home. We love the views from these campsites and you cannot go wrong with the sunset over Lake Lavon. One of our favorite things about this is the full service (water, electric, sewer) because our tanks fill rather quickly in our small tow-behind camper.
We try to make this a regular occurance every year.

Gate workers were very pleasant to work with. It would be nice if the park could update the electrical outlets. Our breaker flipped several times. We hardly had anything running on it.

Lavonia is beautiful and quite. I love this park. The people who work there are nice and helpful. Highly recommend this location.

Beautiful area, with nice breeze. There are chiggers in the grass, so take preventive measures.
There is a small wading area by the old boat ramp that children can use. Our site included a view of every train that went by.

Very nice park. my fiance and i enjoyed our stay. Sites are fairly well spaced. we love our privacy. My fiance loves to fish and he enjoyed it alot. Clean and each had a covered picnic table with a grill and a fire ring. Quite and so peaceful. staffs are very friendly. We'll definitely come back here in the future. Its worth it. Thanks again.

This site is off the water and has some tree coverage. Pad in not level but not hard to adjust your rv to be level . Sewer cleanout is downhill from the park site so drainage isn’t a problem.

Everything was great, except it wasn't mowed and we got eat up by bug's!

It is a beautiful park, yet just on the edge of the DFW MetroPlex. It's a much better place to stay than a noisy motel! The park lawn was well maintained although the roads and bath houses could use work. (... now if only there was some way of keeping the bugs out of the bath houses!) The electric water and sewer hookup all worked great. The people at the guard-station were very nice, friendly and amicable.
