What Guests Are Saying
Lavonia is praised for its beautiful lake views and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for campers. Many reviews highlight the friendly park hosts and the spaciousness of the sites, which provide a sense of privacy. However, maintenance issues such as overgrown grass, pothole-ridden roads, and inadequate restroom facilities detract from the overall experience, indicating a need for better management and upkeep.

Most sites have a lot of spacing between sites. Most sites are very unlevel, bring a lot of blocks.

Site was GIANT and went down to the water. The park was super quiet with all kinds of cell service.

this is a great campground with huge sites, well maintained. we had a beautiful westward view of the lake and sunsets. the staff that worked there were great. most of the sites had covered cement tables. you will need to plan to level your camper as some of the sites have a slope. they had restricted access coming in when we were there. 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. you can leave anytime.

Rainy off and on the entire time I was there. We have a 4 month puppy that the wife decided to bring back and forth each day so he and he more or less glamped. Lake was pretty high and rising so bank fishing was spotty unless you were looking for catfish yearlings. A very peaceful four days.

The park was beautiful but I have a complaint about the older park host with grey hair and beard. We left Tuesday morning at 8:30 for a brief appointment in town. We arrived back at the park at 9:35. Gates were locked so I walked over to the park host only 40 yards from the gate and told him the gates were still locked. He was grippy and snapped we don’t open till 10:00. I told him that’s not posted any where and it’s not on the park map literature. Park literature says office opens at 8 or 830 can’t remember now. So he made us set in the parking lot and due to the rain we couldn’t even walk to the Rv or restroom

Really like this park. Wish they would put full hookups at East Fork park and fix the roads
