What Guests Are Saying
Lavonia is praised for its beautiful lake views and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for campers. Many reviews highlight the friendly park hosts and the spaciousness of the sites, which provide a sense of privacy. However, maintenance issues such as overgrown grass, pothole-ridden roads, and inadequate restroom facilities detract from the overall experience, indicating a need for better management and upkeep.

The park is beautiful. But the way it’s run doesn’t seem up to the standards of an army core park. The people at the gate are crabby. And it seems like there are people staying there longer than two weeks.

My site wasn’t to unlevel, but many at this campground are very undeveloped, so bring plenty of leveling boards. Why are half of sites at this campground not usable? Somebody apparently not doing their job.
Could be 5 star park if just do some improvements. Restrooms are 5 star and very clean.

Area is well maintained. Some update could be done to the awnings over tables at each site. Also tent pads need to be added for a level ground to set up tents.

This is a nice, beautiful place to camp and relax. Me and my family had have many good memories @ Lavonia Park. There's always something bad and this place is not an exemption:
Staff is not that friendly (man at the gate is so rude)
There are many ants and spiders
( They should at least once a month clean sites)

Lavonia Park is one of our Lake Lavon go to places. Park hosts are friendly and security is visible often. We just love it!!

I enjoy Lavonia park. My only complaint is that it's not being well maintained anymore and the best campsites are either closed or seem to be permanently occupied large RVs.
