What Guests Are Saying
Lavonia is praised for its beautiful lake views and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for campers. Many reviews highlight the friendly park hosts and the spaciousness of the sites, which provide a sense of privacy. However, maintenance issues such as overgrown grass, pothole-ridden roads, and inadequate restroom facilities detract from the overall experience, indicating a need for better management and upkeep.

Boat ramp was not accessable due to water level but was open. I'm handicapped and need a ramp. Online gave me FF options so I couldn't see what campsites were actually available. Some spaces were actually available for the days we were there unoccupied but had no choice but to take what attendent said was available. We go there often because it's close and convenient but this was actually the worse experience we have ever had.

Hate to say this but most RV sites are very unlevel, so bring plenty of level boards or other devices. Many sites are shut down for elect. or water problems. It has been like this almost year, why they won't them is big puzzel. Sure would help us all if they did. Maybe need New Manager of park. Just saying!!!
Site I had was pretty level one of FEW. Bathrooms are GREAT!!
Hope they post this, have heard bad reviews somehow get lost, we'll see.

It is a very quiet and beautiful place to camp with family and enjoy the sunsets while walking and listening to birds and the wind.

The afternoon we pulled in the area started to get windy. That was an understatement! The whole night the winds blew at about 30-35 MPH. Not a relaxing night of sleep. The area is clean.

Absolute great place to tent stay. The bathrooms are very well kept, place is peaceful, friendly guests/ neighbors all around and great groundskeepers as well. Seems like most spots have tree shade and a fire pit. Love staying here.

Went out to use new telescope and was very pleased with the almost full sky range for viewing, but there's still quite a bit of ambient light from the city. Still enjoyed very much and gate staff was extremely courteous and helpful!

The campground is beautiful. Our lot was clean and spacious. The grandkids loved their first tent camping experience.

The sites are aging a bit, but everything we needed worked and the view was great. Campsites are spaced far enough apart that you are not feeling crowded. If you want to grill, be sure to bring your own grill or plan to use the fire pit - the ones at the sites are mostly rusted out at the bottom on at least one end.
