We will never stay here again. Don’t get me wrong it was nice to have hookups and the lake view and sunsets were amazing but the park sites themselves are horrible! They are not in good keeping, overgrowth and every site was sloped. It was so bad I lost sleep thinking our rig would let go and fall down the embankment into the lake! We used cinder blocks as a safety behind the chocks. Too bad they can’t spend a few bucks and build up the sites to level them out.

It is a quite and peaceful place. A great place to get away from all of the everyday life

Nice open area. Spots close to the water. Lake access is great with boat ramp. Kids playground was not usable so not much to do for the young ones

Excellent location on the lake for a park campground, but minimal if any infrastructure maintenance is being done. Several sites were not available for RV use because of electrical problems. A few other sites were held aside in case campers from some other sites experienced electrical problems and needed to move.
Asphalt roadway and RV pads are extremely degraded and unmown grass growing in the cracks. The restrooms are in very poor condition and we had to prune some tree limbs to get our RV in and out of our site without damaging the sides and the A/C unit. We are into self-help and the tree pruning was no problem, it just added to the annoyance of the lack of TLC for this resource.
I’m sure there are budget constraints and we in no way expect nor want resort accommodations, but funds need to be invested to bring this campground back to proper operation.

This park is a very good one. I very much enjoyed the stay. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because there is no after 10 PM access to the park via a vehicle. It's very easy to add a gate code system.

Staff is very friendly. This park is in a state of disrepair, it needs a lot of TLC. Has potential to be a great place to visit if the Core of Engineers would take care of this facility instead of neglecting it. You can tell Eastfork and Lavonia parks are not a priority for the current lake manager.

This park we will not return to. Have stayed on several occasions because is close to family, but after our last visit we will find another even if we have to travel farther. The park is poorly maintained, grass not mowed, tree branches on the sites. Seems to have units (not park workers) that stay on a full time basis, we have been in the park in the spring and fall and see the same units on the same sites with obvious lack of movement. Sites are used for multi-car(parking on the road) parties and may have 4 or 5 tents on the same site. The roads are very bad, broken with chuck holes or just lack of road broken and gone across entire road. Sites are very unlevel, and Restrooms are in bad need of repair. Too bad the Fort Worth District pays so little attention to this park, could be a gem, right on the lake, with a beautiful view.
