What Guests Are Saying
Lavonia is praised for its beautiful lake views and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for campers. Many reviews highlight the friendly park hosts and the spaciousness of the sites, which provide a sense of privacy. However, maintenance issues such as overgrown grass, pothole-ridden roads, and inadequate restroom facilities detract from the overall experience, indicating a need for better management and upkeep.

Love the campground and the lake. I just wish they had 50 amps as well. Maybe in the future? 😁

Front gate office is closed for repairs, open gate during daylight hours with no one monitoring traffic in and out of the park. No phone numbers listed to call for assistance. Very little communication between park host's (if you can find one) so resolving issues may take days or not resolved at all. Many sites with electrical or water not working so those sites remain closed. Grounds not being kept, grass hasn't been mowed for weeks. I've been camping here for the past 10 years. This is the worst I've experienced. I hope management of the park gets better.

Would give 5 stars if the grass had been mowed. Site was very nice other then that.

We used to enjoy this park but it is not being taken care of. It is completely overgrown and infested with ants. The tall grass is a perfect place for all the chiggers and mosquitos. I quit counting the bites because I had so many. The roads are full of potholes and completely unmanaged. I would choose a completely different park.

Would’ve been 5 stars but the power to Lot 29 kept going out. We stayed for 3 days(2nights) and it was quite difficult without electricity to set up but other than that the stay was amazing.
